Who We Are? Image

Experiences Canada (formerly SEVEC) is a national charitable organization and a leading provider of youth travel and exchange opportunities in Canada. Formed in 1981 by the merger of Visites Interprovincial (founded in 1936) and the Bilingual Exchange Secretariat, Experiences Canada has focused on providing youth travel and exchanges within Canada for over 80 years.

Through its flagship reciprocal exchanges program, which is generously supported by the Department of Canadian Heritage, each year thousands of young Canadians deepen their understanding of Canada’s history, geography, linguistic, cultural, and social diversity.

Experiences Canada’s authentic learning programs explore language, culture, civics and community. They promote greater connectedness to Canada and an increased appreciation of the economic and social challenges and opportunities facing Canada’s youth today. Engaging youth to become strong, actively involved citizens and the leaders of tomorrow.
