Get your whole class or group involved in applying!
Attention Teachers and Youth Leaders! You can help facilitate an amazing opportunity for youth ages 14-18! Register your class or group to develop their strategies and ideas to further Reconciliation in your community as a class/group assignment and everyone can win!
The challenge question for this year’s Youth Leadership Forum on Reconciliation can be easily integrated into your regular classroom workplans and activities. We have providing curriculum correlations for all provinces and territories here.
As an added incentive, we are offering two registered class/group projects of 15 or more youth (one Indigenous and one non-Indigenous) the opportunity to exchange ideas first hand through a reciprocal exchange visit to each others’ communities!
Two schools/groups will be selected to participate in a reciprocal exchange over the next school year. All travel, registration fees, and planning support will be provided by Experiences Canada. To learn more about what to expect from an exchange click here.
The deadline to apply is April 4, 2021. Selected groups will be notified in early May with a formal offer of twinning. Group leaders from the selected communities will also be invited to participate in Experiences Canada’s Indigenous Exchanges professional development program, free of charge, to be held in Winnipeg during the Youth Leadership Forum in Summer 2021 (date tbc).
